🧄 Crispy Garlic Potato Pops (Saturday Night Edition)

✨ Crunchy, fluffy, garlic-buttery heaven in every bite

Let’s skip the small talk — because these little golden balls of joy? They’re the kind of snack that demands your full attention. Crispy on the outside, soft like a cloud inside, and absolutely drenched in garlic butter.

🧺 You’ll need:

  • 2 large potatoes, peeled & cubed

  • 1 tsp garlic granules

  • 1 tsp onion granules

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 4 tbsp cornflour (plus extra if needed)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Olive oil spray

  • For the garlic butter:

    • 100g butter

    • 2 tsp garlic granules

    • Handful of fresh parsley, chopped

👩‍🍳 How to make it:

  1. Boil the potatoes until fork-tender, then drain and let them steam off for a minute.

  2. In a bowl, mash them until smooth, then stir in garlic granules, onion granules, paprika, salt and pepper. Add cornflour and mix until a thick dough forms — add more flour if it’s still sticky.

  3. Roll into bite-sized balls (somewhere between a nugget and a ping-pong ball — we trust you).

  4. Pop them in your air fryer, spray generously with oil, and cook at 200°C for 15–20 mins. Give them a shake halfway — they like attention.

  5. Meanwhile, melt your butter with the garlic granules and parsley in the microwave (30 secs at a time until gloriously liquid).

  6. Toss the hot potato pops in a big bowl with your garlic butter. Let them soak it up like tiny, delicious sponges.

  7. Serve immediately, with extra butter poured over, if you’re feeling extra. (You are.)
