Nando’s Cheesy Garlic Bread (Home Edition)
🔥 Cheesy Garlic Bread That’ll Make You Feel Like You’re at Nando’s

Hello fellow foodie,
Right, I know we don’t normally start with carbs, but this one’s an exception. Today we’re getting properly cosy with something that tastes like it’s come straight from Nando’s kitchen — but is so easy you could whip it up in your dressing gown.
It’s cheesy. It’s garlicky. It’s a little spicy. And it’s dangerously moreish.
We’re talking about Nando’s-style cheesy garlic bread — made at home, using a humble French baguette and a handful of simple bits from your fridge. If you’ve ever fought over the last slice, this one’s for you.
🧄 Nando’s Cheesy Garlic Bread (Home Edition)
Makes: 1 glorious baguette (serves 2... or just you, no judgement)
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Mood Level: Instant comfort food
🧺 You’ll need:
1 long French baguette (around 300g)
100g grated mozzarella (or a cheeky blend of mozzarella & cheddar)
50g unsalted butter, softened
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tbsp Nando’s Peri-Peri sauce (we used medium, but you do you)
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: chopped parsley, for garnish
Optional: extra peri-peri on the side (we’re not here to hold back)
👩🍳 How to make it:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan 180°C) and line a baking tray with foil or parchment.
Slice your baguette into sections — not all the way through! You want those slices to fan open but still hold together at the base. Think "accordion," not "loaf massacre."
Make your garlic butter. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, pinch of salt, and that glorious tablespoon of Peri-Peri sauce. It should be spreadable and smell like you’re about to do something very right.
Butter it up. Using a spoon (or your fingers, honestly), smush the garlic butter into every slice gap. Be generous. This is not the time for restraint.
Add your cheese. Stuff the grated mozzarella lovingly into each slice, then sprinkle any leftover cheese over the top like a final cheesy flourish.
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden, melty, and lightly crisp on the edges. You’ll know it’s done when your kitchen smells like a garlicky dream and the cheese is bubbling like it’s gossiping about you.
Garnish and serve. A little chopped parsley on top (if you’re feeling posh), a drizzle of extra Peri-Peri on the side, and you’ve got yourself a Nando’s-level side dish — without the queue.
